We are so happy to finally visit your blog, and see the great group of people you have to work with. The second couple arrived this past week, so we can now focus on the Aviano Ward. We do have one inactive to take to church today, so we are looking forward to meeting him. Thanks again for the great fun we had with you over Mother's Day weekend in Bern. It is a truly beautiful place, and you were great hosts. Let us know if we can return the favor. Elder and Sister Martin
I somehow stumbled across your blog and was thrilled to remember my mission in Germany a few years ago and the AMAZING senior couples who were absolute angels! I just have to say that I bet the missionaries in your mission do/will treasure your service forever! Thanks for rekindling MANY amazing memories
"And after they had been received unto baptism . . . their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way . . ." Moroni 6:4
A New Beginning
We are Elder and Sister Grassli serving in the Zurich Switzerland Mission as Outreach missionaries in the Bern Institute of Religion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are new at blogging, but our daughter, Jane Anne, and Elder Reinhardt and Elder Trogden have made it possible. Pictured here are the wonderful elders enjoying the meal we bribed them with!
Why We're Here
We have planned on serving a mission since before we were married. We were absolutely delighted with the call to Switzerland and we'll tell you why. Elder Grassli is a native Swiss, and that alone is enough to delight us, because we love the country so much. In addition, his patriarchal blessing said he would retain his mother tongue for the Lord's work. But wait, there's more! We were so pleased and surprised to have this call to fellowship new young adult converts and nurture the less active, because missionaries, led by Elder J. David (Bud) Billeter, did that for him as a new convert. So that's why we're here and why we love it. We will do our best!
To Missionary Families
If you want to see your Swiss missionary, he or she just might be here! If you don't see him or her on this page, click on older posts below or on this link: Missionary Gallery. We also add random missionary pics from time to time.

Welcome to our blog. We are loving our mission and Switzerland, and maybe you can see just a bit of what it is like for us and for the missionaries. Hope you enjoy it. Please make a comment when you visit, even if it is just a word, so we can see if anybody is out there!
