A New Beginning
We are Elder and Sister Grassli serving in the Zurich Switzerland Mission as Outreach missionaries in the Bern Institute of Religion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are new at blogging, but our daughter, Jane Anne, and Elder Reinhardt and Elder Trogden have made it possible. Pictured here are the wonderful elders enjoying the meal we bribed them with!
Why We're Here
We have planned on serving a mission since before we were married. We were absolutely delighted with the call to Switzerland and we'll tell you why.
Elder Grassli is a native Swiss, and that alone is enough to delight us, because we love the country so much. In addition, his patriarchal blessing said he would retain his mother tongue for the Lord's work.
But wait, there's more! We were so pleased and surprised to have this call to fellowship new young adult converts and nurture the less active, because missionaries, led by Elder J. David (Bud) Billeter, did that for him as a new convert.
So that's why we're here and why we love it. We will do our best!

How did this one turn out? It looks like it was fun.
It was great. THese kids are sooo good and they just know how to have fun! The attendance wasn't quite as much as the first dance, but there were a lot of conflicting events competing for their attention.
